Microsoft Ecosystem Drives Growth in Mexico’s Cloud and AI Initiatives
In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, Mexican enterprises are increasingly turning to advanced technologies from Microsoft and its ecosystem partners to achieve automation, efficiency, and collaboration. According to a new research report by Information Services Group (ISG), a leading global technology research and advisory firm, the adoption of cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions is accelerating significantly in Mexico, with Microsoft playing a pivotal role in this transformation.
The 2025 ISG Provider Lens™ Microsoft AI and Cloud Ecosystem report for Mexico highlights that enterprises in the country are migrating to the cloud at an unprecedented rate. Service providers estimate that cloud adoption is growing by more than 25% annually, a trend expected to continue into 2026. This shift is reshaping business operations across industries, as organizations leverage cloud technologies to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and drive innovation.
Cloud Computing: A Catalyst for Change
“Cloud computing has become a major catalyst for change in Mexican enterprises,” said Bill Huber, Partner for Digital Platforms and Solutions at ISG. “Advanced AI technologies from Microsoft Azure and its ecosystem partners are helping companies optimize operations and accelerate innovation.”
Approximately half of Mexican enterprises are now extensively utilizing cloud computing, with traditional sectors like finance, healthcare, and manufacturing gaining confidence in transitioning to cloud-based systems. Providers are establishing regional data centers tailored to meet the unique needs of Mexican organizations, offering enhanced security, resilience, and faster response times. Initially adopted for scalability and availability, cloud infrastructure is now being used to implement applications that directly improve business outcomes.
The Rise of AI and Automation
Public interest in AI is surging in Mexico, driven by the widespread use of cloud-based AI tools such as ChatGPT and the growing adoption of advanced mobile devices. As consumers embrace AI-powered solutions, businesses face mounting pressure to modernize their operations and deliver more engaging customer experiences. Microsoft’s focus on AI, exemplified by solutions like Copilot, has positioned the company as a leader in the AI market. Additionally, Microsoft is making substantial investments in Mexico to improve connectivity and promote AI adoption, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The demand for Microsoft 365, the company’s flagship productivity suite, is also on the rise. SMEs are adopting the suite for its scalability, while industries such as education, healthcare, finance, and manufacturing are leveraging it to enhance collaboration and productivity. The shift to hybrid work models and remote collaboration, accelerated by the pandemic, has further boosted the popularity of Microsoft 365. Similarly, the Power Platform—Microsoft’s low-code/no-code development solution—is gaining traction as companies seek to automate processes without requiring extensive programming expertise.
“Mexico has become a dynamic market for the Power Platform as companies embrace business automation,” said Jan Erik Aase, Partner and Global Leader of ISG Provider Lens Research. “There is strong competition among providers to offer Power Platform solutions that meet local needs.”
Hybrid Multi-Cloud Environments and Managed Services
The report also explores other key trends within the Microsoft ecosystem in Mexico, including the growing adoption of hybrid multi-cloud environments and the rising demand for Azure managed services. These trends reflect the increasing complexity of IT landscapes and the need for specialized support to manage and optimize cloud resources effectively.
