Ledger™ Unveils a New Era of Digital Ownership with Ledger Nano™, Ledger Wallet™, and Ledger Multisig
Ledger™, the global leader in digital asset security for both consumers and enterprises, today unveiled a groundbreaking step forward for digital ownership, identity, and security. At its flagship event, Ledger Op3n in Paris, the company introduced the next-generation Ledger Nano™ Gen5, reimagined Ledger Live™ as Ledger Wallet™, and launched Ledger Multisig, marking a major evolution in how individuals and institutions manage and protect digital assets.
As society increasingly moves toward digital identities, with AI accelerating the convergence of physical and online worlds, authenticating what is real has become paramount. Ledger is rising to this challenge by redesigning its ecosystem to support Proof of You and Proof of Authority at scale, ensuring secure and verifiable ownership in a world of growing digital complexity.
Ledger’s secure devices, previously known as hardware wallets, are now officially termed Ledger signers. This change highlights their expanded capabilities beyond safeguarding financial transactions to include protecting digital identities in the AI-driven era. Ledger signers continue to operate as millions of users rely on them today, securing Ledger Wallet—formerly Ledger Live—the trusted interface for managing digital value, connecting with opportunities, and shaping one’s digital future on personal terms.
At the forefront of this evolution is the all-new Ledger Nano, a reinvention of Ledger’s iconic signer designed for the modern era of digital ownership. Loved by millions for over a decade, Ledger Nano signers have served as both a shield against hacks and scams and a tool for managing value securely. The Ledger Nano™ Gen5 is the most powerful and versatile iteration yet, capable of safeguarding assets, digital identities, smart contracts, and the next generation of protocols.
Ledger collaborated with industry pioneers to elevate the user experience. Tony Fadell, inventor of the iPod and Ledger board member, worked alongside Susan Kare, the legendary graphic designer behind Apple Macintosh icons, to create a series of exclusive Badges for personalizing Ledger Nano. Their expertise in blending groundbreaking technology with user-friendly design ensures that Ledger Nano is both secure and enjoyable to use.
The new Ledger Nano includes Bluetooth® for mobile signing, NFC for seamless Ledger Security Key use, and a secure, energy-efficient E Ink® touchscreen that enables advanced features such as Clear Signing, Transaction Check, and on-device Ledger Security Key verification. Each device also comes with a Ledger Recovery Key, providing a secure backup to access assets in any scenario.
“The Ledger Nano series is the most successful digital asset security device of all time, with millions sold and never hacked,” said Pascal Gauthier, Chairman and CEO of Ledger. “The all-new Ledger Nano is designed for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities. It’s the next-generation signer for everyone, combining accessible pricing, best-in-class security, and an intuitive user experience. The future of Ledger starts today.”
Central to this ecosystem is the Ledger Wallet app, which is more than a portfolio tracker—it’s the command center for digital ownership. Ledger Wallet empowers users to securely buy, sell, swap, earn, and manage digital assets while connecting to trusted decentralized applications (dapps). Users can now link Ledger signers directly to popular dapps, such as 1inch, for streamlined and secure interactions. Additionally, Ledger has integrated Noah (Cash-to-Stablecoin), allowing seamless fiat top-ups in USD or EUR, instantly converted to stablecoins like USDC for immediate on-chain use.
“Ledger is for anyone serious about safeguarding their digital wealth,” said Ian Rogers, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Ledger. “Ledger Wallet and Ledger signers together make it easy and safe to fully engage with decentralized finance. We support all top 100 tokens and beyond without ever compromising security or ownership. Exchanges and software-only wallets simply cannot compete in terms of protection and control.”
Ledger signers are also expanding into institutional use. Ledger Enterprise serves as a trust layer for banks, custodians, governments, and crypto-native businesses, enabling secure management of billions of dollars with verifiable approvals through Clear Signing. Ledger Multisig, unveiled at Ledger Op3n, adds precision and certainty to high-stakes operations such as treasury management, multi-chain workflows, and smart contract governance. Every action is cryptographically verified, ensuring security at scale.
The new Ledger Nano, Ledger Wallet, and Ledger Multisig have been rigorously tested by Donjon, Ledger’s white-hat hacker team, and externally audited to ensure the highest security standards. Ledger Nano™ is available globally for $179/€179, with pre-sale in the U.S. subject to FCC approval.
Ledger’s new suite of products represents a bold step into the future of digital ownership: secure, intuitive, and fully under the user’s control. With Ledger, managing, protecting, and using digital assets has never been more accessible or reliable.
