AIEEV Launches Air Cloud: A Distributed, Inference-Only AI Cloud Built on Idle Consumer and Enterprise GPUs

AIEEV, a pioneering South Korean startup led by CEO Sejin Park, has officially unveiled Air Cloud, a groundbreaking 100% distributed AI inference cloud platform. Unlike traditional cloud infrastructures that rely on centralized data centers, Air Cloud harnesses the untapped computational power of idle GPUs from consumers and enterprises worldwide—including gaming rigs in PC cafés and personal AI devices like Dnotitia’s Mnemos—to deliver a highly scalable, cost-efficient, and resilient AI inference service.

The launch arrives amid a global surge in demand for AI inference capabilities, driven by the rapid proliferation of generative AI applications, chatbots, and real-time analytics tools. This unprecedented growth has placed immense strain on existing cloud infrastructure, with major providers racing to expand data center capacity. However, these expansions come with steep capital expenditures, soaring energy consumption, and sustainability concerns—raising serious questions about the long-term scalability of conventional approaches.

AIEEV’s Air Cloud offers a compelling alternative. By aggregating geographically dispersed GPU resources into a unified, virtualized cloud, the platform eliminates the need for massive, centralized data centers. To mark its official launch, the company is offering a free Proof-of-Concept (PoC) program, along with a 50% discount on initial usage for early adopters.

AIEEV’s long-term vision is ambitious: the company aims to onboard over 100,000 consumer GPU nodes globally by 2026, creating one of the world’s largest decentralized inference networks. This scale will empower startups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and independent developers to deploy and run AI models at a fraction of the cost charged by major public cloud providers—democratizing access to advanced AI infrastructure.

The startup’s innovative approach has already garnered significant recognition within South Korea’s tech ecosystem. AIEEV has been selected for several prestigious national programs, including Samsung Electronics’ C-Lab startup incubation initiative, Daegu City’s ABB (AI Big Bang) project, SK Telecom’s AI Startup Accelerating Program, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups). Furthermore, through the Ministry’s Deep Tech GMEP (Global Market Entry Program), AIEEV is actively exploring strategic partnerships with international firms via Plug and Play Tech Center in Silicon Valley.
