Axis Communications Launches Advanced IoT and AI Solutions at ISC West 2025 for Smarter Security and Edge Computing

Axis Communications Unveils Cutting-Edge IoT Devices and AI Solutions at ISC West 2025 for Enhanced Security and Operational Efficiency

Axis Communications, a global leader in video surveillance and IoT solutions, has announced a groundbreaking lineup of intelligent edge devices and advanced solutions designed to revolutionize security, business intelligence, and operational efficiency. Unveiled at ISC West 2025 in Las Vegas, these innovations include a high-performance AI-optimized recording server, multifunctional network display speakers, programmable strobe speakers with audio analytics, and precision air quality sensors. These additions underscore Axis’ commitment to driving smarter, safer environments through seamless integration, open architecture, and cutting-edge technology.

Empowering Businesses with Edge Intelligence

In today’s data-driven world, actionable insights are critical for informed decision-making. Fredrik Nilsson, Vice President, Americas, Axis Communications, emphasized this point: “At Axis, we design our devices to integrate seamlessly, empowering users to unlock more value from their data without added complexity. Our latest solutions highlight how interoperability and edge intelligence can streamline operations and enhance security.”

The new AXIS S1228 AI-Optimized Server is a prime example of this vision. Designed for advanced analytics, the server supports AI-powered free-text search capabilities through AXIS Camera Station Pro Smart Search. This enables businesses to quickly identify moving objects across multiple cameras, accelerating video forensics and automating responses. With up to 15 times more detection capacity than standard servers (depending on scene and resolution), the AXIS S1228 delivers unparalleled performance. Available starting April 2025 at an MSRP of $10,499 USD, it also includes 28 AXIS Camera Station Pro licenses and 12 TB of storage.

Multifunctional Network Display Speakers for Clear Communication

Axis is redefining public address systems with its AXIS C1710 and C1720 Network Display Speakers. Unlike traditional audio-only models, these devices combine powerful speakers, attention-grabbing strobe bars, and customizable text displays to ensure clear communication in schools, healthcare facilities, transportation hubs, and other protected areas. Key features include two-way audio with echo cancellation, content prioritization, and remote health monitoring.

Built on open standards, the AXIS C1710 ($1,599 USD) and C1720 ($1,899 USD) integrate effortlessly with third-party mass notification systems. Both models will be available through Axis distribution channels starting June 2025.

All-in-One Strobe and Speaker for Versatile Signaling

The AXIS D4200-VE Network Strobe Speaker is another standout innovation. This versatile device combines live and pre-recorded audio alerts with visual signaling via customizable LED colors. Pre-installed AXIS Audio Analytics enable automatic sound detection and trigger appropriate responses, such as alarms or notifications. Supporting AXIS Audio Manager for zone management and scheduling, the D4200-VE simplifies installation and maintenance while offering robust IP66, NEMA-4X, and IK09 ratings. Priced at $899 USD, it will be available starting April 30, 2025.

Air Quality Sensors for Healthier Indoor Environments

Axis expands its portfolio into environmental monitoring with the AXIS D6210 Air Quality Sensor. This compact device detects pollutants like particle matter, smoke, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), along with monitoring temperature and humidity. When predefined thresholds are breached, the sensor triggers automated actions, ensuring healthier indoor environments. Leveraging portcast technology, the D6210 integrates seamlessly with other Axis devices, eliminating the need for separate cabling. It will be available in May 2025 at an MSRP of $399 USD.

Later this year, Axis plans to launch the AXIS D6310 Air Quality Sensor, a standalone model with enhanced features for even greater air quality management.

Driving IoT Innovation Through Open Architecture

At the heart of Axis’ offerings lies its hallmark open architecture, enabling seamless integration with partner applications and third-party technologies. This flexibility ensures interoperability across Axis’ ecosystem, empowering businesses to tailor solutions to their unique needs. From AI-driven analytics to real-time environmental monitoring, Axis continues to push the boundaries of IoT innovation.
