Partner Christian Jensen articulated the firm’s conviction: as AI models become more capable, performance bottlenecks shift decisively toward data infrastructure. The research-driven evaluation revealed that ClickHouse delivers the performance, efficiency, and reliability required for always-on, customer-facing AI systems where downtime carries direct revenue consequences.

The platform’s differentiation extends beyond technical benchmarks. Unlike data warehouses primarily serving internal analytics teams, ClickHouse frequently powers customer-facing product features embedded in production applications. Strategic Moves: Langfuse Acquisition and Postgres Integration

ClickHouse announced two significant product expansions alongside the funding milestone. First, the acquisition of Langfuse, an open-source LLM observability platform that has accumulated over 20,000 GitHub stars and 26 million SDK installations monthly. Traditional observability focuses on system health metrics; LLM observability addresses a fundamentally different challenge—ensuring that non-deterministic AI systems produce outputs that are accurate, safe, and aligned with user intent.

According to Langfuse CEO Marc Klingen, LLM observability is fundamentally a data problem, making ClickHouse’s architecture the natural technical foundation. The integration promises faster ingestion, deeper evaluation capabilities, and shortened feedback loops from production issues to measurable improvements.

Second, ClickHouse introduced an enterprise-grade Postgres service developed in partnership with Ubicloud.
