A Proven Leader with Decades of Utility Expertise
Josh Cox brings over two decades of experience in the utility industry to his new role, with a career trajectory that reflects both hands-on technical knowledge and executive-level leadership. He began his career as a lineman, gaining firsthand insight into the complexities and challenges of power grid operations. Over time, he advanced into senior leadership positions, overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects and managing field teams at two of the largest utilities in the United States: Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and Southern California Edison (SCE).
Most recently, Mr. Cox served as Superintendent of Transmission Power at SCE, where he spearheaded initiatives to modernize the utility’s transmission infrastructure. During his tenure, he played a key role in adopting CTC Global’s ACCC® Advanced Conductors and InfoCore® Technology. Notably, he led the successful installation of ACCC® Conductors on the Laguna Bell-Mesa Line—a project that exemplified how advanced conductor technology can significantly improve grid performance while reducing costs. His deep understanding of both the technical and operational aspects of utility systems positions him as an ideal leader to guide CTC Global’s field services strategy.
A graduate of Northwest Lineman College, Mr. Cox has built a reputation for driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and delivering results in complex, high-stakes environments. His expertise spans a wide range of areas, including transmission system optimization, workforce development, and the adoption of next-generation technologies designed to address the evolving needs of modern power grids.
