Intuit Launches Nationwide Financial Literacy Initiative with NFL’s Inspire Change at Super Bowl LIX
In a groundbreaking effort to promote financial literacy among students, Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU), the global financial technology platform behind TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, has announced the launch of its Financial Literacy Forum series and Hour of Finance Challenge. The initiative kicks off during Super Bowl LIX week in New Orleans, where Intuit is partnering with the NFL’s Inspire Change initiative and the New Orleans Saints to host a dynamic event aimed at empowering students with essential financial skills in an engaging and impactful way.
Empowering Students Through Financial Education
Taking place on February 4, 2025, the inaugural Financial Literacy Forum will bring together 400 high school students and teachers from New Orleans’ west side schools. The event will feature hands-on financial education tools powered by Intuit for Education, aligning with Intuit’s mission to “power prosperity” and the NFL’s commitment to social impact through economic empowerment.
“Financial literacy is essential for empowering students to build secure and prosperous futures,” said Dave Zasada, Vice President of Education and Corporate Responsibility at Intuit. “Through our collaboration with the Saints and NFL’s Inspire Change, Intuit is equipping students with the tools to achieve financial confidence and advancing our goal to help 50 million students become more financially literate, capable, and confident by 2030.”
What Students Will Experience at the Forum
The forum is designed to make financial education both fun and practical. Students will participate in:
- Interactive Icebreakers: Introducing core financial concepts in an engaging way.
- Dynamic Panel Discussions: Featuring Demario Davis, linebacker for the New Orleans Saints, and Flau’jae Johnson, LSU basketball star and artist, who will share personal stories about how financial literacy has helped them achieve their goals.
- Real-World Breakout Sessions: Covering topics like budgeting, credit, taxes, and investments, offering students actionable tools for financial success.
- Celebratory Reception: Including giveaways branded with Intuit x Super Bowl LIX memorabilia to celebrate their participation.
This event marks the beginning of Intuit’s broader Financial Literacy Forum series, which will expand to cities nationwide, including:
- San Francisco/Bay Area, CA: In partnership with the 49ers Foundation (March 21)
- Washington, D.C.: In partnership with the Washington Commanders (March 26)
